In a celebration of Vijaydashimi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessed the Ram Leela at Dwarka in Delhi and observed the Ravan Dahan. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister emphasized the festival`s significance, describing it as a triumph of justice over injustice, humility over arrogance, and patience over anger. He underlined that Vijay Dashmi this year coincides with the two-month anniversary of the Chandrayaan landing, highlighting the importance of the day.

Referring to the tradition of Shastr Poojan on this day, Prime Minister Modi stressed that in India, weapons are meant for defense, not annexation. He explained that Shakti Pooja symbolizes a wish for the happiness, well-being, victory, and glory of the entire creation, highlighting the timeless and modern aspects of Indian philosophy. The Prime Minister asserted that India knows both the `maryada` (boundaries) of Lord Ram and how to safeguard its borders.

Speaking about the temple being constructed at the birthplace of Lord Ram, Prime Minister Modi regarded it as a symbol of victory for the patience of Indians after centuries of waiting. He expressed optimism that prayers at the temple during the next Ram Navmi would spread happiness worldwide, saying, "Bhagawan Shri Ram bas aane hi wale hain" (Lord Ram`s arrival is imminent). He drew parallels between the signs of Lord Ram`s arrival described in Ramcharitmanas and recent developments in India, including the country`s growing economy, lunar exploration, a new Parliament Building, and the empowerment of women through the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. The Prime Minister declared that India is evolving into the world`s largest and most trusted democracy, and he envisioned a rising trajectory for the nation`s fortunes after 75 years of independence.

Prime Minister Modi urged vigilance against divisive forces such as casteism, regionalism, and selfishness, stressing the importance of eliminating societal evils and discrimination. He underscored the significance of the next 25 years for India, envisioning an India that embodies Lord Ram`s ideals. This vision includes a developed, self-reliant, and prosperous India that promotes world peace and equal rights for all.

The Prime Minister called on everyone to adopt ten resolutions, including water conservation, digital transactions, cleanliness, promoting local products, producing high-quality goods, prioritizing domestic over foreign products, supporting natural farming and millet consumption, fostering fitness, and elevating the social status of at least one impoverished family by becoming part of their household. He concluded by pledging relentless efforts to ensure that no one in the country remains without basic facilities, such as housing, electricity, gas, water, and healthcare.
