New Delhi , February 18 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal`s absence at the 6th Enforcement Directorate (ED) summon has sparked controversy, with BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accusing him of evasion and labeling him as "Bhagoda" number one.

Poonawalla asserted, "He has become `Bhagoda` number one. He has something to hide as the mastermind of the liquor scam...The court says that the summons are proper and you should go and attend these summons. But even then you are calling the summons illegal. In fact, even the Congress party has said that in the liquor scam, you have a lot of questions to answer. So are they also doing vindictive and vendetta politics?... If there is nothing to hide. You must present yourself before the agency."

While AAP responded, "Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will not appear before ED today. ED summons are illegal. The matter of the validity of the ED summons is now in court. Instead of sending summons again and again, ED should wait for the court`s decision: Aam Aadmi Party."

The BJP`s strong stance comes amidst ongoing scrutiny of Kejriwal and his party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), over alleged involvement in corruption cases. Kejriwal`s repeated absence from ED summons has fueled speculation and criticism from political opponents.

The AAP, known for its anti-corruption stance, has consistently denounced ED and CBI actions as politically motivated attempts to hinder their fight against corruption. However, Kejriwal`s failure to appear before the ED has raised questions about the party`s commitment to transparency and accountability.

The escalating tensions between the AAP and the BJP underscore the broader discourse on corruption allegations, investigative agencies, and political strategies in Indian politics. As the saga unfolds, the role of the discerning Indian voter becomes increasingly pivotal in determining the ramifications of these developments on the political landscape.

The controversy surrounding Kejriwal`s absence at the ED summon highlights the complex interplay between power, accountability, and public perception in contemporary Indian politics. As the nation watches closely, the spotlight remains firmly fixed on the actions and responses of key political figures, shaping the narrative of transparency and integrity in governance.
