Car in which magistrate travelling attacked by five

In a shocking incident a car with a city magistrate as one of the passenger was allegedly attacked and was tried to rob by five unknown people in the Jewar area of Gautam Budh Nagar district last week on May 13. Victim of incident Nitesh Kumar said he was accompanied by his friend and co-passenger a Jewar Court Magistrate for visiting a medical store to buy some medicines in a White Maruti Swift car (UP16DN4107). While returning around 11:20 pm on Jewar-Tappal road (highway) near Jain Hospital, suddenly four people one of whom had a motorcycle, stopped the car by hitting from his motorcycle. As per the police information one of them climbed on the bonnet of the car with an iron rod and remaining others stood on the right and left side of the car and started abusing and threatening by saying to hand over the car to them. They abused, and threatened to kill both the occupants of the car. In this milieu a Maruti van (UP16CU8240) reached the spot with another set of criminal elements they together attempted to rob us while we kept resisted and they were not allowing the vehicle to move as it was blocked. However my co passenger gathered some courage to face the ordeal and accelerated fast to move. Meanwhile I made a PCR call, informed my police contacts while they were chasing us. It was a godsend moment that sooner police team were spotted midway and noticing this them the criminals changed their direction and fled the spot, said Nitesh when contacted to brief about the incident based on the FIR lodged at Jewar police station, under Section 154 Crpc and 279,504,506,398,341. We are investigating the matter and soon will be able to nab the elements. All CCTV footage are being scanned and have sought help from mobile operators about presence of mobile numbers at the location during that time, said a Noida police official.
