more-in Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday claimed that his Twitter account was compromised and “someone” was retweeting posts against veteran social activist, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) mentor, Anna Hazare from it. It was not immediately clear whether Mr. Sisodia had regained full access to his account on the micro-blogging site but the offending tweets were no longer visible on his Twitter timeline after he drew attention to the alleged hacking of his account. ‘Don’t believe tweets’ The police said they had not received any formal complaint related to the matter till Saturday evening. “My account hacked. Someone retweeting anti Anna Hazare messages from account. Trying to delete them, not even getting deleted [sic],” Mr. Sisodia tweeted. “Pls don’t believe them. I have greatest respect for Anna ji. Can never say such things against him. Pls don’t believe them [sic],” another tweet said. Mr. Sisodia had played a major role in the Indian Against Corruption movement that was led by Mr. Hazare and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In late 2012, Mr. Kejriwal branched out to launch the AAP following which Mr. Hazare has been at odds with the AAP and Mr. Kejriwal, airing his views against the latter several times since. Mr. Hazare had recently attributed the electoral defeats of the AAP to Mr. Kejriwal’s quest for power. The Delhi CM has “dashed my hopes”, he had said, after the release of the Shunglu panel report, which accused the government of gross abuse of power.
