18 kg ‘beef’ seized from Haryana village

The Haryana Police have seized four suspected cow hides and 18 kg of ‘beef’ from a village in Palwal district. Four suspected cow hides and 18 kg of ‘beef’ were seized along with the motorcycle. A raid was conducted and the cows ‘rescued’. Two cows were ‘rescued’ in another village. The police received a tip-off that some persons were allegedly going to sell ‘beef’ on a motorcycle.

A case has been registered against the five accused, who are on the run, said a police officer. Accused flees The second incident took place at Ghurawali village. The police received a tip-off that six-seven people were allegedly taking two cows to a nearby forest for slaughter. A raid was conducted and the cows ‘rescued’. The accused fled the spot, he said.
