Man dupes scores with easy loan offers

New Delhi: A man from Dwarka has been arrested for allegedly duping several people by offering them easy loans under the Ladli scheme . The girl gets the amount after the turns 18-years-old.Police said the accused has duped many people by taking money in the name of the Delhi Government scheme. "He used to take the money from the victims, claiming that their work will be done early. After taking the money he would shift his base," said the source.Sources said he took amounts ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 7000 from the people. Police said that they have recovered around 200 forms from him.

He used to send messages through encrypted text, making them look authentic and cheat poor labourers from west and south DelhiSurender Kumar, DCP (southwest) said the accused Raj Gupta (34) was arrested on Sunday following a complaint lodged at Palam.Under the Ladli scheme, the government deposits Rs one lakh in a bank account in the name of new-born girlchild. The girl gets the amount after the turns 18-years-old.Police said the accused has duped many people by taking money in the name of the Delhi Government scheme. "He used to take the money from the victims, claiming that their work will be done early. After taking the money he would shift his base," said the source.Sources said he took amounts ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 7000 from the people. He had also shifted his office from Vikaspuri to Noida some time back. Police said that they have recovered around 200 forms from him.
