Manoj was crossing the road when he was hit by the car, which was allegedly speeding. He was flung several feet in the air and got impaled on iron grills mounted on the divider. The police looked at CCTV footage, which failed to capture the car’s number plate. The car’s flashing lights posed a challenge for investigators, who were able to ascertain that it was white but unable to decipher any other details. Sources claimed they pieced together all clues, including CCTV footage, to track the escape route. They also sent teams to local repair shops anticipating he would visit one of them.
