Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for his habit of breaking protocols, there has been numerous occasions where he has breached protocol like the time, when he met a fan girl in Surat or when he waved towards the crowd as he left after attending the Republic Day parade in New Delhi. April 2017 – In a special gesture highlighting the warmth in Indo-Bangladesh ties, PM Modi broke the protocol for the third time as he went to receive Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh’s Prime minister.
