Railways cancels 10 trains due to dense smog

The toxic smog continued to envelope the entire region that has reduced visibility in some areas. According to a senior Indian Railways official, 73 trains have been delayed, 34 rescheduled, and 10 cancelled.

According to MeT department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 14.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.

Earlier, authorities had taken various measures such as banning construction activities and brick kilns in the National Capital Region.

The situation has worsened due to burning of crops across Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
