Hungry for 19 hours, CRPF jawans stop train to cook food at Faridabad station

As the train became slow, jawans pulled the chain.When the train stopped, jawans got off the 17 coaches of the special train. During 19 hours of their journey, they did not get anything to eat or drink, and so decided to prepare food themselves. 8:30 pmon Monday11 pm4 pmon TuesdayFARIDABAD: After starving for 19 hours, 1500 CRPF jawans decided to stop the train they were travelling in and prepare food for themselves.The jawans had boarded a special train from Jammu and were going to Raipur . Arranging a few quick eatables, they rushed to the platfrom and lit gas stoves at many places to help the jawans prepare a proper meal. They were told by their officers that they were supposed to reach Raipur in a special train.

8:30 pm on Monday 11 pm 4 pm on Tuesday FARIDABAD: After starving for 19 hours, 1500 CRPF jawans decided to stop the train they were travelling in and prepare food for themselves.The jawans had boarded a special train from Jammu and were going to Raipur . During 19 hours of their journey, they did not get anything to eat or drink, and so decided to prepare food themselves. They pulled the chain and stopped the train. It has been alleged that the locopilot asked them not to do so, but they did not let the train go.The jawans then requested station master to let them keep the train standing on Faridabad station, where they cooked meal.RPF, GRP and Railway officials also reached there by then, but the jawans convinced them by narrating their ordeal. Jawans said that they had food atin Jammu. They were told by their officers that they were supposed to reach Raipur in a special train. They were told that they would not get food in the journey anywhere, so they kept gas stove, veggies, vessels, spices etc with them. The train started atfrom Samba. It had a few short halts in the outer areas and reached Faridabad at around. As the train became slow, jawans pulled the chain.When the train stopped, jawans got off the 17 coaches of the special train. Station master KC Meena argued that he had no information of train's stoppage, but the jawans told him their story and he got convinced.Jawans then went to nearby Gandhi Colony and purchased some eatables and fruits. Shopkeepers understood their condition and helped them.Local people were also polite and humble to them. They sold the items at cheaper rates. Arranging a few quick eatables, they rushed to the platfrom and lit gas stoves at many places to help the jawans prepare a proper meal. Haryana policeman switched on the submersible to help them with adequate water. The jawans then prepared poori-sabzi and chapatis.
