CHANDIGARH: The Haryana state vigilance bureau has recommended departmental action against 35 gazetted officers and 41 non-gazetted officers in eight inquiries, and criminal cases against three others in two inquiries.A bureau official said on Thursday that the Bureau had caught eight officers and officials red-handed while accepting illegal gratifications ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 1,00,000, recently. Kanwar Pal, assistant of Syaroli (Palwal) patwari Latesh Kumar was caught taking bribe of Rs 16,000.Gurgaon food and supplies sub inspector Nikesh Rohilla was caught taking bribe of Rs 10,000. Sales tax inspector Sanjay Sharma of Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar was caught red-handed along with Sunil Sharma and Anil Sharma of Gohana, while taking bribe of Rs 1,00,000.Ram Lakha, clerk in the office of tehsildar (sales), Faridabad and Hari Ram were caught taking bribe of Rs 20,000. Cases have been registered against them under Prevention of Corruption Act. In another case, Vinok Kumar, Patwari, Halqa Tikli village, Gurgaon and one Tarun Kumar were caught taking bribe of Rs 5,000.In separate cases, Surender, a clerk in the office of the SDE, UHBVN, Bahalgarh, Sonipat, was caught taking bribe of Rs 4,000; patwari Harbans Singh, Karamgarh, Sirsa was caught taking Rs 2,000 and Sonu, a computer operator posted at e-Disha, Uchana, Jind caught taking Rs 500.
