Delhi: Key player in Taimoor Nagar drugs trade nabbed with Rs 1 crore heroin

NEW DELHI: Intensifying their crackdown on the drugs mafia in Taimoor Nagar, police have arrested one of the key players, Farooq Mohammed (45), with 528 grams heroin worth around Rs 1 crore.
He progressed to heroin.“The man used to purchase heroin at Rs 12 lakh per kg from drugs suppliers in Bareilly and Hapur in Uttar Pradesh.
Biswal has tasked the district narcotics squad led by inspector Rajender Kumar to unearth the nexus.The accused told police that he had been living in Taimoor Nagar since childhood.
Till now, police have found that Mohammed is an accused in four criminal cases, including one lodged under NDPS Act.
His mother used to peddle marijuana and smack and roped him in the trade while he was a teenager.
