CHANDIGARH: On Sunday, Haryana industries and commerce minister Vipul Goel said that apart from Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, 15 new industrial training institutes (ITIs) have been established and work is in progress to start 19 new ITIs.
Accordingly, those who pass out from engineering colleges and industrial training institutes are being given skill development training.
Goel was addressing industrialists in the Rozgar Shikhar Sammelan 2019 organised by Haryana Skill Development Mission at Faridabad According to him, at present, 2,000 students are being trained in Shri Vishwakarma Skill University.
Once the university’s construction work is completed, 12,000 students will be able to train there.
The university aims to provide skilled manpower for industries located in North India.Additional chief secretary of the department Devender Singh said that a new industrial policy has been formulated in the state.
