Anticipatory bail granted to two in Rs 600 crore ponzi scam

CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh district court has granted anticipatory bail to two chandigarh residents in Rs 600 crore ponzi scam.The court of district and sessions Judge Balbir Singh granted anticipatory bail to Gurnam Singh 61, a resident of Sector 38 (West), his wife Dalip Kaur,55.
The court later granted anticipatory bail to both accused.Earlier, the ED has added names of six more accused, apparently related to each other.
Of the six, the mastermind is stated to be in Malaysia and five are declared as proclaimed offenders.The only accused, Kamal K Bakshi, arrested in this case was granted bail by Chandigarh district court last month.
They were issued summons by the court.However, the defence counsel argued that the custodial interrogation is not required as investigation is complete.
Dalip Kaur was also allegedly bought immovable properties with the money thus earned.
