Haryana Police launch Manhunt to nab accused

Police said the footage has been sent to a forensic lab to recreate the accused's faces. Ramesh was produced before a court in Palwal on Tuesday and sent to judicial custody. They said that no one came forward to give any information about the incident.

BALLABHGARH: Haryana Police has launched a massive manhunt at Asaoti village after the CCTV footage of three suspects involved in stabbing a teenager in a train near Ballabhgarh was analysed by the investigators.The footage shows three youths on a motorbike fleeing, while a crowd is seen running to the station where Junaid was dumped. Police said the footage has been sent to a forensic lab to recreate the accused's faces. Officers boarded one of the trains from Sadar Bazar to Asaoti and questioned daily passengers of six coaches between which the incident had happened. They said that no one came forward to give any information about the incident. "We did not take note of a specific fight since a brawl is common on the trains on this route," said Rakesh Gurjar, a daily passenger and a resident of Asaoti.Some of the daily passengers also said that the day Junaid was killed, another man too was beaten up on the same platform for misbehaving with a woman.Asaoti village sarpanch Karan Singh Pehelwan said that they had first spotted the footage in one of the cameras installed at the roads near the station and informed the police. "We have also formed a village committee to identify the accused, who seem to be residents of our village or the villages nearby," he added.Meanwhile, officers have contacted a village head near Palwal whom the arrested accused, Ramesh, had approached hours after the incident seeking ways to get away from police. The village head had informed police about Ramesh. Ramesh was produced before a court in Palwal on Tuesday and sent to judicial custody.
