GURUGRAM: Almost all security wings of the administration — intelligence branch, CID and police — have been on their toes since Friday to maintain peace in Gurgaon in the wake of violence in Panchkula sparked by the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Raheem by a CBI court in a rape case.Though no violence has been reported in any part of Gurgaon so far, the police carried out patrolling on Friday night and checking drives throughout Saturday across the city.Over 50 check posts have been set up at sensitive locations to keep an eye on vehicles passing by. Also, security has been stepped up at the eight main entry and exit points, including Farrukhnagar, Jhajjar, Bijwasan, Kapashera, Sirhaul and Mehrauli, on roads going towards Delhi and Faridabad. Sources said all DCP, ACP rank officers had been out on the streets since Friday night to keep trouble-mongers at bay."We are maintaining constant vigil at railway stations, bus stands and other sensitive places. Security has been beefed up at all government offices, hospitals and Metro stations. The vigil is continuing," said Ranvir Singh, ACP (crime).The intelligence branch and CID are keeping a close watch on the city, especially the areas and villages with a large population of Dera followers. "The situation has been peaceful so far. Night patrolling will continue tonight also. The deployment of cops will remain the same. We are fully vigilant," said DCP Simardeep Singh.Acting on the HC directive to attach properties belonging to Dera Sacha Sauda, Gurgaon deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh has asked tehsildars and sub-divisional magistrates to compile a list of all Dera properties in the district. "We are assessing all moveable and immovable properties of Dera Sacha Sauda in Gurgaon. We have also asked banks to give us details of all bank accounts held by Dera," Singh added.
