Ryan murder case: CBI wants finger prints of juvenile

GURUGRAM: The class XI student of Ryan International School 's Bhondsi campus apprehended by central bureau of investigation (CBI) in connection with murder of class II student Pradhyumn Thakur to remain in judicial custody till December 6. After three days of police custody CCL was sent into observation home. Now there is only one accused in the case and CBI is seeking finger print of juvenile to match it with the evidence they have in possession. Juvenile will continue to stay at observation home in Faridabad.Child in conflict with law (CCL) was apprehended by CBI on November 7 and produced before juvenile justice board on November 8. Tekriwal highlighted that juvenile was allowed to meet parents on non-mandated days.

Juvenile will continue to stay at observation home in Faridabad.Child in conflict with law (CCL) was apprehended by CBI on November 7 and produced before juvenile justice board on November 8. After three days of police custody CCL was sent into observation home. On Wednesday CBI produced CCL before Judicial magistrate Ist Class (JMIC) Devender Singh on completion of judicial custody and seeks further extension of judicial custody.CBI also moved an application before JJ board for getting finger prints of CCL born on April 3, 2001. JJ board has asked CCL's counsel to file their reply on CBI application for finger prints and scheduled next hearing for November 29.Agency in its investigation claims to have not found any incriminating evidence against bus conductor Ashok Kumar, who was granted bail on November 21. FSL, DNA and forensic report and CCTV footage also helps Ashok in getting bail. Now there is only one accused in the case and CBI is seeking finger print of juvenile to match it with the evidence they have in possession. Finger print of the juvenile will be collected from observation home after getting permission of the court.Investigation agency also filed its reply on the allegation levelled by father of juvenile through an application on November 11. Juvenile father had filed an application for taking appropriate action against the investigation officer and CBI officials for violating the orders of the court of November 8 in which CBI was refrained from keeping child out of correction home after 6 PM during police custody (November 8-11)."CBI in its brief reply maintained that they have not violated the direction of the board," said Sandeep Aneja, counsel for juvenile adding that CBI failed to elaborate on specific day and time mentioned in our application highlighting the violations. Counsel for juvenile will argue on the CBI reply on November 29.Sushil Tekriwal, counsel for Barun Thakur (Pradhyumn's father), who had moved an application on November 14 for treating juvenile as adult as child in conflict with law (CCL) was more than 16 years of age at the time of crime, was also present in the court. Tekriwal highlighted that juvenile was allowed to meet parents on non-mandated days. "As per the rule juvenile can meet parents and family members at observation home only on Tuesday and Friday, but juvenile was allowed to meet parents on Monday," said Tekriwal adding that hearing on the application to treat juvenile as adult is pending.CBI in its submission before court has mentioned that on the basis of minute inspection of crime scene, analysis of the CCTV footage and movement of the students near the scene of crime on the day of incident, reconstruction of sequence of event on that day, questioning of students, teachers, staff and other employees of the school agency had identified and apprehended juvenile.
