Married man fakes his own kidnapping to demand ransom from girlfriend

A man cooked up a fake story of his own kidnapping to extract ransom worth Rs 20,000 from his girlfriend . He reportedly left the rented place two days back, without telling her anything, and went to a hospital, where his father-in-law was getting treatment.Sitting besides his wife and father-in-law, Tiwari then texted her girlfriend on Tuesday and demanded Rs 20,000 as ransom from her.The girl immediately informed police, who tracked the number through surveillance and found that it belonged to Tiwari.The accused was later arrested from the hospital and is now lodged in jail.Content courtesy: Navbharat Times However, he soon got trapped in his own plan as he made a mistake of sending the ransom message from his own phone.Accused Abhijeet Tiwari, who is already married, allegedly lied to his girlfriend that he was a Bank PO in Gurugram, when he was a worker in Link road area of Ghaziabad When Tiwari's girlfriend started pressurizing him for marriage, he hatched a plan to steal some money from her.Last week, Tiwari called his girlfriend to Ghazaiabad under the pretext of solemnizing nuptial knots and stayed with her in a rented accommodation in Jhandapur area for few days.
