GHAZIABAD: Some BJP legislators have expressed disappointment that they did not get not the opportunity to raise certain issues during a meeting with Yogi Adityanath a few days ago, following which the chief minister has called them to Lucknow on Friday or Saturday.“On Wednesday, Sahibabad MLA Sunil Sharma, Modinagar legislator Dr Manju Siwach and I held a meeting and conveyed to the chief minister our disappointment at not being allowed to raise some issues during the recent party meeting in Ghaziabad ,” said Nand Kishore Gujjar, the MLA from Loni. “The chief minister has asked us to come to Lucknow on Friday or Saturday and meet him,” he added.Gijjar, whose car was sprayed with bullets last week while he was returning home from an RSS meeting, had been accusing some police officers of corruption of late. “I was really disappointed and so were the others. I wanted to raise with the chief minister an issue of corruption in the police force. I am glad the chief minister has agreed to meet us.”Sahibabad MLA Sunil Sharma, however, tried to play down the incident. “I won’t say we were disappointed. But it is true that we wanted to bring up some issues with the chief minister and did not get the opportunity,” Sharma said.According to sources in the police department, Gujjar started accusing some officers of corruption ever since his security cover was reduced. “It was after this that the MLA started leveling corruption charges against cops at Loni police station. This led to a few suspensions as well,” said a source.
