Mother, 1-year-old daughter suffer severe burns in cylinder blast at home

As there was no other house nearby, no other person was injured in the blast.
GHAZIABAD: A 25-year-old woman and her one-and-half-year-old daughter received severe burn injuries when an LPG cylinder exploded in their second-floor house in Tronica City on Friday night.The explosion took place around 8.30pm in Tronica City’s Nishant Colony when Pooja was cooking dinner in her two-floor house.
Due to leakage in cylinder, fire spread in the kitchen and even as family members were trying to get away from the house, the cylinder burst with a loud noise destroying a portion of the house.Pooja and her daughter Pari who were nearest to the kitchen received major burns on their hands and legs and were rushed to GTB Hospital in Delhi.Meanwhile, police and the fire brigade were informed about the blast.
