GHAZIABAD: The autopsy report of the five-year-old girl, whose body was found in a sack on the terrace of her aunt’s house in Khoda on Saturday, has confirmed an attempt to sexually assault her.A panel of three doctors conducted the autopsy and has prepared slides for further tests, chief medical officer NK Gupta said. The report also mentioned that the girl had been smothered to death. “As the body was two days old and decomposed, the injury marks could not be ascertained,” said a doctor in the panel.Dharmendra Kumar Singh, the SHO of Khoda police station, said: “As the girl was sexually assaulted , more sections of the IPC would be added in the FIR. Three teams have been formed to arrest the culprit. We are hopeful the case would be solved soon.”The girl’s father, a labourer with a Noida firm, has alleged that a tenant staying in their house for the past two years could have murdered his daughter as he has been missing since Thursday, when the girl was last seen. “Nobody saw him (the tenant) since Thursday, when my daughter went missing. His room is also locked,” the father had said.The girl’s murder and the manner in which the body was found bear a stark resemblance with an incident in which the decomposed body of a four-year-old boy who went missing 18 months ago was found inside a crate on a neighbour’s terrace in Samshad Garden this June, in the same clothes he was last seen wearing in December 2016.On Sunday morning, the girl’s parents and neighbours blocked NH-24 for around an hour demanding a compensation for the family and immediate arrest of the culprit.“Police told us they had traced the location of the accused and he would be arrested soon. Now, the autopsy report has confirmed our worst fears that the girl was sexually assaulted. We demand a suitable compensation for her family,” a cousin of the girl said.The youngest of three siblings, the five-year-old girl studied in a local school. Her father works as a labourer with an export company in Noida, while her mother has been on dialysis for several months since both her kidneys failed.
