Ghaziabad eatery owner gets Rs 2 crore extortion call

GHAZIABAD: The owner of a popular sweet shop and restaurant in Ghaziabad received an extortion call of Rs 2 crore from the Billu Dujana gang on Monday.An FIR under section 386 and 504 of the IPC was lodged at Sihani Gate police station Monday night.SHO (Sihani Gate police station) Sanjay Kumar Pandey said Billu Dujana is lodged in a jail in Delhi. The caller was quite abusive, the police official added.Yadav lives with his parents and family on a house built above the restaurant in Nehru Nagar.The father-son duo on Tuesday met Ghaziabad SSP Vaibhav Krishna and sought police protection. “Initially Yadav thought it to be a prank call, but the way the caller talked about his family members frightened him,” a police officer said.Yadav’s father Brahampal Yadav also got a call from the same caller just five minutes after his son and a similar demand was put forward.
