Two attacked for resisting car robbery

GHAZIABAD: A retired junior commissioned officer with the Indian Air Force was attacked by three bike-borne men outside his house in Rajendra Nagar on Thursday night when he resisted their attempt to rob his car. The former junior warrant officer, Harvinder Singh (52), has been admitted to a private hospital where his health condition is said to be stable.Singh’s daughter Gunjan, a second-year humanities student at Miranda House in Delhi, was also attacked by the robbers when she intervened to save her father. Gunjan escaped with deep scratches on her neck.The robbery attempt took place around 10.30pm near Ekta Park in Sector 2 where Singh lives in a first-floor apartment with his family.
