GHAZIABAD: Four minors, all sons of UP Police constables posted in Ghaziabad, have been booked for allegedly molesting and trying to kidnap a 16-year-old girl.The complainant, who is the daughter of a head constable posted in Noida, lives in Masuri. In her complaint to police, the Class 11 student alleged that the four boys, three of whom study in her school, have been harassing her for the past two months and tried to abduct her two days ago. Two of the boys study in Class 11 while the others are in Class 12.“On Tuesday, I was returning home from Govindpuram after attending tuition classes around 6pm when I noticed that the four boys were following me in a Hyundai Santro. Near Ram Bagh, they caught up to me, opened the car door and started to pull me inside. When I resisted, they slapped me four-five times and touched me inappropriately,” the girl told police.When she raised an alarm, passersby gathered at the spot and the juveniles fled. One of the passersby lent her his mobile phone and she called her father to inform him about the incident.Talking to TOI, the girl’s father said, “The trouble started two months back when my daughter complained about the misbehaviour of the three boys to her class teacher, who in turn informed the school principal. My daughter had not told me about her ordeal earlier and I came to know about it only recently.”The girl suffered minor injuries on her face and was sent for a medical examination. On the basis of her complaint, an FIR was registered against the minors at Kavi Nagar police station under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354 A (molestation), 364 (kidnapping in order to murder) and 511 (attempting to commit offences punishable with life imprisonment) of the IPC and sections 7 (sexual assault) and 8 (punishment for sexual assault) of the POCSO Act on Thursday. None of the boys have been detained yet, and investigations are going on, police said.
