Appoint SP-rank officer to regulate Ghaziabad traffic: Allahabad High Court

ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad high court on Friday directed Ghaziabad SSP Vaibhav Krishna to properly regulate traffic system in the city.The court further directed the SSP to set up a committee under an officer, not below the rank of an SP , to supervise the traffic system of the city.Hearing a petition filed by the Federation of Apartment Owners Association, Indirapuram, a division bench of acting Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice CD Singh directed the SSP to submit a report on traffic regulations by November 14, the next date of hearing.The court also directed the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and others to file their replies (counter affidavits) in response to the contention raised in the PIL, which alleged that commercial shops and complexes are being run in residential areas of Indirapuram.The PIL has sought seizure of all commercial shops and complexes which are being run in Indirapuram.
