GHAZIABAD: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has written to the district administration highlighting encroachment and unauthorised parking outside the metro stations in Vaishali and Kaushambi.The complaint comes ahead of a meeting between the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and DMRC on Thursday when the issue of parking is likely to be taken up.“The DMRC has recently sent a letter to the district magistrate over the issue of encroachment and unauthorised parking outside metro stations in Vaishali and Kaushambi. It complained that shops, three-wheelers and even beggars at the two metro station gates cause inconvenience to commuters daily,” said VN Singh, chief engineer at the GDA.“We have been directed to hold a meeting with DMRC officials on Thursday to find a solution to this problem,” he added.DMRC’s letter mentions the exact nature of the problem along with pictures to buttress the claim. Unauthorised parking and vendors make it all the worse. You can’t move without bumping against each other.
