Ghaziabad: Two of a family die as car falls into drain

GHAZIABAD: A car carrying six members of a family fell into a drain in front of Civil Lines police chowki on GT Road on Monday night. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and other family members have been informed. One of the family members, Deepanshu, was driving the car but he lost control of it. Two of them died while the others are recuperating in a hospital.The family was going towards Gagan Vihar after a birthday party in Crossings Republik. Around 10 pm, the car crashed into a divider before falling into the drain.Four persons fell into the drain and two of them drowned.

The rest of the injured, including two children and a woman, have been admitted to Yashoda Hospital.The police response vehicle (PRV) which reached the spot helped rescue the victims. According to SP (city) Shlok Kumar, the doctors are monitoring the health of the injured and they are stable. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and other family members have been informed.
