GHAZIABAD: Two persons were arrested on Friday for allegedly stealing ruscards from a mobile tower in Khoda colony.
Ruscards are devices used in mobile towers to convert electronic waves into magnetic ones.On scanning footage from the CCTV cameras, police were able to zero in on the suspects and laid a trap to arrest them.
The arrested have been identified as Saalin Khan (23), a resident of Aligarh, and Mohammad Shakeel (25), from Delhi.“On January 30, a private telecom company worker filed a complaint alleging that seven ruscards were stolen from one of their mobile towers in Khoda.
The accused were finally nabbed near Deepak Vihar and the cards were seized.
An FIR was lodged against unknown persons under IPC sections 379 (punishment for theft) and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property),” said Pradeep Tripathi, SHO of Khoda police station.
