Man tries to register firm with fake papers, booked

GHAZIABAD: The sales tax department filed a complaint against a man at Indirapuram police station on Monday for allegedly submitting fake documents to register his company. The accused has been identified as Dinesh Khosla, a resident of Kaushambi.The department found a residential house at the address mentioned by the company officials. He informed the team that he had been living in there since 2014 and had never rented out the place to any company. In the police complaint, assistant commissioner of sales tax V K Sharma stated that on October 29, 2018, a team from the sales tax department went to the registered factory address of Elitr Trading Company to carry out an inspection. Subsequently, the team went to the company’s head office which was registered to be located in Kaushambi, but there too, a residential building was found instead of commercial space.“One Sunil Gupta was found to be living in the house.

He informed the team that he had been living in there since 2014 and had never rented out the place to any company. Notably, in the rent agreement, the company officials had mentioned one Dinesh Khosla as the owner of the place, but in reality it belonged to Sunil Gupta,” said the assistant commissioner.A further inquiry of the documents uploaded on the company’s website revealed that the owner had mentioned a fake address in Delhi as his residence. .
