GHAZIABAD: A special CBI court on Friday held Surinder Koli guilty in one of the 2006 Nithari serial rape and murder cases. This case is related to the sexual assault and killing of a 14-year old girl on March 15, 2005.Koli had lured the minor and brought her to his employer Moninder Singh Pandher 's Noida Sector 31 house on the pretext of a job. He then took her inside a bathroom where he raped and murdered her. Later he had eaten her flesh after cooking it. After strangulating the girl with her dupatta, Koli had disposed of her body in a drain.On Friday, special CBI judge Amit Veer Singh found Koli guilty of the crime. The court will decide on the quantum of punishment in the case on Saturday. This is the tenth case in which Koli, who was Pandher's employee and worked in his house in Nithari village , has been held guilty.The girl, who originally hailed from West Bengal, lived with her parents in the same area. Her mother was a domestic help while her father used to run a tea stall. On March 16, 2005, her father had lodged a missing person's complaint at Noida Sector 20 police station after she went missing a day earlier.Koli was charged in 19 cases, out of which the CBI filed a closure report in three for want of evidence. So far, he has been awarded capital punishment in the nine cases.
