Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway underpass work begins on March 4

But now the Authority has taken up the project and aims to complete it by end of this year,” said Garg. Hence, it will have four clover leaves to ensure signal-free commute at the junction. “Earlier there were some technical errors in the tender, later the National Highways Authority of India was to take up the project due to being near the FNG corridor, but that did not happen. “We aim to complete it in a year, but the tender has been given for 18 months,” said Pradeep Garg, senior manager of Work Circle 4, Noida Authority.Proposed in 2016, the project kept getting stalled for some reason or the other.

NOIDA : Nearly three years after it was proposed, the work on the underpass on the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad ( FNG ) Expressway near village Bahlolpur in Noida Phase III will begin from Monday, officials said on Saturday.Once constructed, the Rs 30.29 crore underpass, which will have two carriageways of two lanes each, will provide signal-free connectivity to Transport Nagar in Sector 69 and areas around sectors 63 and 69 as well as villages of Bahlolpur and Chijarsi.“The tender process is completed. We will start the construction work on the underpass from Monday, ”said Rajeev Tyagi, general manager of Noida Authority.“The underpass will be located at a major box culvert of FNG road. Hence, it will have four clover leaves to ensure signal-free commute at the junction. It will also facilitate commuters from Mamura Sector 66 as well as hundreds of workers of industrial sectors,” said Tyagi.Though the expected time for the completion of the project is 18 months, the Authority aims to complete it within one year. “We aim to complete it in a year, but the tender has been given for 18 months,” said Pradeep Garg, senior manager of Work Circle 4, Noida Authority.Proposed in 2016, the project kept getting stalled for some reason or the other. “Earlier there were some technical errors in the tender, later the National Highways Authority of India was to take up the project due to being near the FNG corridor, but that did not happen. Then there were some financial issues briefly. But now the Authority has taken up the project and aims to complete it by end of this year,” said Garg.
