Ghaziabad: Illegal weapons factory busted in forest, two held

GHAZIABAD: Two persons were arrested on Sunday for allegedly running an illegal arms factory in Bamheta forest under Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad.The police team recovered 36 country-made pistols , some live cartridges and other equipment used in making illegal weapons.
The miscreants used to manufacture illegal arms at an isolated place at Bamheta forest.“The accused were arrested late on Sunday night following a tip-off.
We also recovered illegal and semi-prepared arms from their possession.
The police said the accused were identified as Mursalim (38), a resident of Ghaziabad, and Tinku alias Pintu (26), who is from Noida.
They told us that the pistols were priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 15,000 while the price of some guns is around Rs 25,000,” Sharma added.The police said that most of the illegal weapons were prepared with the help of rods from trucks which connect steering to the wheels.
