Ghaziabad, Health sub-centers built at a cost of more than eight crores in urban and rural areas are in a bad shape. There are 28 centers that have become dilapidated. These centers have been closed for many years.

The then District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey had also ordered to activate all the health centers after inspection, but not a single one has started yet.

There are 118 health sub-centres in the district. Most of these centers are located in rural areas, in remote areas far away from the population. Because of this Asha and ANM are afraid to go there alone.

In many places, ANMs conduct vaccination at community halls or Anganwadi centres.101 health sub-centres were set up in the district in 2007-08.

The department had received Rs 6.90 lakh from the NRHM head for setting up a centre.

17 health sub-centres were set up in 2010-11. Then 11 lakh rupees were spent to build a center.

The biggest problem is in six centres. These include Dausa in Razapur, Suhana in Muradnagar, Manki, Bhurgarhi, Mathurapur and Mirpur Hindu in Loni.

CMO Dr. NK Gupta informed that with the help of Panchayati Raj Department, village head sub-health centers in rural areas are being repaired and beautified.

In this, from the installation of interlocking tiles, the installation of gates, windows, doors and painting is being done.

The help of councilors will be taken in urban areas. The CMO said that there are many centers which have been adopted by ministers and MLAs.
