Robbers make a hole in ceiling to rob showroom

They broke into the showroom from the terrace of the building by cutting through the metal sheet and even smashing the concrete ceiling beneath it, according Vinod Gupta , the showroom manager. The showroom has a vacant plot behind it and the miscreants might have scaled the terrace from there, said Gupta. Once I entered the showroom, I saw pieces of broken concrete strewn on the floor and the metal sheets were falling off as well. "I just reached here and opened the shutter of the showroom and everything was fine. I saw a hole in the ceiling too and my cabin was completely in a disorder manner with the safe broken," Gupta told police.An FIR under the relevant sections of IPC has been filed in Sihani Gate police station and further investigation is on.

GHAZIABAD: Ten days after burglars drilled a two-foot hole in the wall of the strongroom of Punjab National Bank's Modinagar branch and emptied out 30 lockers, an automobile showroom in Sihani Gate area was burgled in a similar manner on Friday.According to police, the robbers escaped with cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh apart from electronic items from the showroom of Nissan in Patel Nagar area on Thursday night. The showroom has a vacant plot behind it and the miscreants might have scaled the terrace from there, said Gupta. "We received a call from the showroom manager around 10am regarding the break-in and we are investigating the matter ever since," said Vinod Kumar Pandey , SHO, Sihani Gate police station.The robbers, after entering the showroom, broke open the safe kept inside the manager's office and stole Rs 1.5 lakh. "No CCTV footage has been retrieved because the robbers had disconnected the wire of the camera and also took away the DVR and three printers kept in the room," said a police officer.According to police, the accused might have done a recce of the building before the robbery . "I just reached here and opened the shutter of the showroom and everything was fine.
