GHAZIABAD: A 35-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her house in Sector 2C of Vasundhara on Sunday at around 8 pm. The woman had undergone a surgery recently for removal of her ovaries. She was not happy since the past few years for having failed to conceive another child," said Indirapuram SHO Sunil Kumar Dubey. Police said the autopsy report has ascertained that the woman died of ante-mortem injuries caused by hanging." The woman, identified as Smita, was married to NGO worker Ajayendra and had a 10-year-old daughter.The police were informed about the suicide by the woman's brother Arun Malik.
