GHAZIABAD: The status of the complaints submitted to GDA under their 'complaints and queries' on their official website, freezes at 'in process' for a long time and then automatically changes to 'solved' when checked again after a few weeks to monitor its progress, thus being alleged as a dysfunctional website according to residents of Indirapuram and members of Federation of Association of Apartment Owners The residents have expressed that in various instances, after a complaint of any nature is submitted on the GDA website, post the automatic generation of the complaint number, the status of the complaint always comes out to be ' in process' and after a few weeks the complaint status is automatically changed to 'solved', as opposed to any tangible change happening in the ground reality of the situation.The members of Federation of Association of Apartment Owners (FedAOA) also said that whenever GDA's helpline number is called to discuss a complaint, the complainant is directed to submit written complaint, thus re-directing the complainant to restart the online process all over again. "The Ghaziabad Development Authorities ' official website is dysfunctional because no tangible change ever happens in the ground reality of the situation but the status of the entry changes to 'solved' on its own, automatically," said Alok Kumar, patron of Federation of Association of Apartment Owners and a resident of Arihant Harmony, a residential society in Indirapuram.Despite of filing hundreds of complaints to the GDA regarding the civic irregularities of the Indirapuram township, Kumar at numerous accounts has never heard back from the GDA officials either. "In a recent complaint that I filed regarding the lack of cleanliness of the drains and sewer lines as per the norms set by the GDA, even after the wait of two weeks, the status of my complaint was stuck at 'processing' and then after a few days suddenly changed to 'solved' but no ground action was taken about it till date. No one reverted to any of my calls from the authority," added Kumar."I filed a complaint regarding the construction of illegal structures at Indirapuram Habitat Center, some weeks ago and after the complaint number was generated, the status changed to 'solved' after 'processing' automatically. P.S the apathy on the part of the GDA officials is alarming," said Amit Balyan , an advocate and a resident of Indirapuram.The residents also complained that despite the change in the State Government, there experience while dealing with GDA officials has further worsened. "The new VC, has made GDA into a much less accessible space. Atleast earlier the VC used to hear us out and issue a direct statement regarding the issue, but now even that does not happen," said an Indirapuram resident.
