GHAZIABAD: People from several walks of life came together on Sunday to form a forum that will help parents of nine-year-old Armaan Sehgal in their efforts to seek justice for the death of their kid. Armaan, a student of Class IV of GD Goenka Public School in Indirapuram, had slipped inside the school premises and died on August 1.The 51-member forum comprises leaders of various opposition political parties in UP, RWA representatives, traders' bodies and parents' associations of Ghaziabad."Armaan's parents are scheduled to meet the SSP and district magistrate on Monday along with certain members of the forum. Parents have certain demands to make upon the police and the administration," said Neeraj Bhatnagar, president of All Schools' Parents Association. The management of the school has announced that classes will resume from Wednesday. Armaan's parents have alleged lopsided police investigations in the matter after an FIR was registered in Indirapuram police station on August 1. The Allahabad high court, where the school management has filed a writ petition for quashing of the FIR, has asked Ghaziabad police to submit its investigation report byAugust 28.The high court has further ordered that no coercive action should be taken against the school till that date.
