Ex-MLA booked for BJP worker’s murder

In his complaint, Yogesh said he was following Gajendra and Balbir, who were on a motorcycle, in an SUV on Saturday afternoon. They began raining bullets on Gajendra and Balbir as soon as their motorcycle was around 10-15 metres inside Khoda. GHAZIABAD: Former BSP legislator from Sahibabad assembly constituency, Amarpal Sharma, has been booked along with two unidentified persons on Sunday for the murder of a BJP worker , Gajendra Bhati, in Khoda Colony. I don't know their names but I can identify them," Yogesh said in the complaint.According to Yogesh, Gajendra had been planning to contest the nagar palika polls in Khoda. Sharma was booked on the basis of a complaint lodged by Gajendra's younger brother Yogesh.

GHAZIABAD: Former BSP legislator from Sahibabad assembly constituency, Amarpal Sharma, has been booked along with two unidentified persons on Sunday for the murder of a BJP worker , Gajendra Bhati, in Khoda Colony.

Gajendra alias 'Gajju' (32) was shot dead in Indira Vihar area of Khoda by two bikers on Saturday while his colleague, Balbir Chauhan (52), who also sustained gunshot injuries, is recuperating in a Noida hospital.

Sharma was booked on the basis of a complaint lodged by Gajendra's younger brother Yogesh.

Police have invoked sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC against Sharma and two others in an FIR filed at Khoda police station.Sharma had won the Sahibabad seat on a BSP ticket in the 2012 assembly polls.
