GHAZIABAD: Ritu Maheshwari , a 2003 batch IAS officer , on Saturday took charge of Ghaziabad district magistrate . Maheshwari will be the third woman DM in Ghaziabad and earlier the post were held by Nidhi Kesarwani who was preceded by Ministhy S. Maheshwari who holds an electrical engineering degree from Chandigarh was executive director, Rural Electrification Corporation , under power ministry before she was transferred to Ghaziabad. Maheshwari's transfer comes after her predecessor Ministhy S who had joined as Ghaziabad DM about four months ago went on sudden leave just a day after chief minister Yogi Adityanath's visits Ghaziabad.Maheshwari while speaking to TOI spelled out her priorities. "I will ensure that Ghaziabad under me becomes cleaner and greener city."
