GHAZIABAD: The Talwar couple remained in Dasna jail on Saturday even as a certified copy of the Allahabad high court order, acquitting them in the murder of their daughter Aarushi, and domestic help, Hemraj, reached Ghaziabad. They will be released only on Monday as the CBI court has to issue an order for the same after securing surety bonds under Section 437A of CrPC. The certified copy was brought from Allahabad by Vikas Sethi, a long-time assistant of Aarushi 's father Rajesh Talwar, after the high court handed it over late on Friday evening."The CBI court will examine the judgment of the high court. It has the discretion to ascertain the amount of money that Rajesh and Nupur will have to deposit as surety bonds. Two separate bonds will be prepared for them while the amount of money as surety for each of them might remain the same. After the surety bonds are filed, the court will prepare release orders for the Talwars which will be sent to Dasna jail," Talwars' lawyer in Ghaziabad, Manoj Sisodia, told TOI.Jail officials said the Talwars spent a normal day inside the prison and interacted with fellow inmates. None of their friends or family members have visited them in the jail after the acquittal verdict was pronounced by the high court on Thursday ."Rajesh and Nupur were allowed to meet each other for around 30 minutes in a lawn inside the jail as per a practice wherein we allow meetings of relatives imprisoned inside the same jail every Saturday .As per the developments so far, it is not possible that the couple will be released before Monday ," Dadhiram Maurya, jail superintendent, told TOI.Senior officials of the district administration including district magistrate Ritu Maheshwari and SSP Hari Narayan Singh held a surprise inspection of the Dasna jail premises on Saturday . Sources said they reviewed security arrangements in place inside the jail prior to the scheduled release of the Talwars on Monday even though officials remained tightlipped about the matter."The inspection was a surprise visit to review the security inside the jail. We wanted to inspect security in the light of the death of an inmate inside Dasna prison a few days ago. All the barracks inside the jail were thoroughly checked by the team. We found a few matchboxes and lighters inside the barracks even though there were no major security lapses. Jail officials have been directed to ensure foolproof security inside the premises," Maheshwari told TOI.
