The shed was built to pave way for a new market building at the originial site after razing the old one.“We had informed the council long ago about the broken rooftop sheets and requested the authorities to replace it, but nothing has been done yet. With rainwater falling on the fish, it becomes very difficult to sell them. The council had also promised us that the new market will be ready in a year,” said Shivaji Shetkar, a vendor.Another vendor said, “It’s the duty of the market inspector to ensure the market is in decent condition.
