Shellfish bags still unclaimed at Margao

Margao: The seven gunny bags of shellfish that were offloaded from the Mangaolore – LTT Matsyagandha Express at the Margao railway station on Friday evening, are lying unclaimed with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Margao. RPF sources said that as per Railway rules, any perishable consignment lying unclaimed for over 18 hours has to be destroyed after following due process. “We will initiate the process soon,” a senior RPF official said.
