CM says farewell to childhood friend

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar visited late Francis D’Souza’s residence in Mapusa, at 4pm on Friday, to pay respects to his former ministerial colleague. He consoled D’Souza’s wife, son and daughter and placed a wreath to pay homage to the former deputy chief minister and five-time legislator. Wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, the chief minister, who was in a wheelchair, spent nearly 10 minutes at the residence, sources said. Parrikar was accompanied by his elder son Utpal.
