Panaji: Goa Forward Party (GFP) president Vijai Sardesai on Friday said he was willing to back former deputy chief minister Francis D’Souza’s son, Joshua, if the latter chose to contest the byelections from Mapusa. Joshua is presently a member of the Mapusa Municipal Council.“Francis was a man who believed in simple living and he won the hearts of the people. I was willing to back his son. I am still willing,” he added. His legacy should be preserved.
