MARGAO: Fatorda police on Wednesday booked an offence against P Kudchadkar, his wife, Archana, and son, Akhil, after they restrained an income-tax officer and her team from carrying out investigation when they had come to their business premises.Police sources said that the Kudchadkar family owns a furniture-cum-interior design showroom near KTC bus stand, Margao . When the income-tax officer, Vidya Tanse, along with her team of I-T personnel came to their premises on Wednesday in connection with the investigation into a case, they were allegedly restrained and abused by the accused.Acting on the complaint lodged by Tanse, Fatorda police booked a case against the accused under Section 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the Indian Penal Code .
