Panaji: Congress legislators have been offered as much as Rs 30 crore to resign as MLAs and join the BJP, said Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco on Wednesday amid speculation that Congress MLA Isidore Fernandes could join the BJP in the coming days.Lourenco refused to divulge the name of the MLAs who were given the offer and also chose not to mention who made the offer.“I heard yesterday about Rs 20-30 crore being offered to MLAs. They are saying let’s talk. This is the offer that was given to one of our MLAs,” said Lourenco, as he alleged that the BJP was using money and muscle power to ensure the stability of its coalition government.“The art of being a chowkidar has been shown by the BJP. The political prostitution going on, is being witnessed for the first time in the history of Goa’s politics. If they can break MGP, they can do anything,” he said.He said that the ongoing political developments will impact the Lok Sabha election results. “Our party’s prospects will improve in both the parliamentary seats,” he said.
