The work to restore water supply has already begun on a high priority basis. And intend to finish the project before Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The pipeline will be moved underground which was earlier over the bridge said the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane. Valpoi: On Wednesday the Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane had a detailed meeting regarding the water supply issue in Shel-Melauli and neighboring areas in the presence of Smt. Noella Baretto (Executive Engineer PWD Water) Shri Soma Naik (Assistant Engineer PWD Water) Shri Prashant Gaude (Assistant Engineer PWD Water) & Shri Yeshwant Mapari (Assistant Engineer PWD Water). In view of the washing away of the bridge due to the recent flood the pipeline has been affected which is connected to the water treatment plant. Also Rane said that he had a productive discussion with the Panchayat Members from Guleli village panchayat Asmita Melekar and Vithal Kaskar GSIDC officials Dilip Joshi (General Manager Civil GSIDC) Shreepad Walavlikar (Manager Civil GSIDC) Vishranti Chari (Dy Manager Civil GSIDC) and PWD officials D. C. Gupta Zilbarao Desai Chandan Naik and Arvind Sawaikar and had discussed the rebuilding of the Paikul village bridge. The estimate of the bridge has now gone up from seven and a half crore to twelve and a half crore due to the increase in height of the bridge. Also the sidewalks will also be added to the bridge. The same has been approved and the project will be tendered next week. The bridge will be completed in the next 9-12 months said the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
