‘Enemy?’ at London Indian Film Fest

The film was adjudged the best feature film in Konkani at the 63 rd National Film Awards, 2015. The film will also be screened in the 'Beyond Bollywood' section at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne from August 11 to 21. Panaji: National award-winning Konkani film 'Enemy? ', produced by A Durga Prasad, directed by Dinesh P Bhonsle and starring Meenacshi Martins, Salil Naik and Antonio Crasto, has been selected to be screened at the seventh edition of the London Indian film Festival, one of Europe's largest South Asian film festivals, from July 14 to 24.

Panaji: National award-winning Konkani film 'Enemy?', produced by A Durga Prasad, directed by Dinesh P Bhonsle and starring Meenacshi Martins, Salil Naik and Antonio Crasto, has been selected to be screened at the seventh edition of the London Indian film Festival, one of Europe's largest South Asian film festivals, from July 14 to 24. The film will also be screened in the 'Beyond Bollywood' section at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne from August 11 to 21. 'Enemy?' revolves around a Goan Catholic family who discovers they have lost their property to the government. An Indian army captain and his mother are dismayed when corrupt civil servants and politicians gang up against them using the Enemy Property Act of 1968, enacted after the Indo-Pak war in 1965, to usurp prime land belonging to them. They find they are not alone in their struggle against the establishment and, as tension builds up, the captain is pushed to the edge. The film was adjudged the best feature film in Konkani at the 63 rd National Film Awards, 2015. Director Dinesh P Bhonsle, was involved in theatre for four years before he started working in the Mumbai film industry. He has been associated with renowned film editor Waman Bhonsle and has directed various documentary films and television serials. He made his directorial debut with Marmabandh (2008) and has also directed 'Calapor'. 'Enemy?' also stars Raju Hede, Shishir Krishna Sharma, Vishwajit Phadte, Nitin Kolvekar, Rupa Chari, Arvind Singh, Ramakant Anvekar, Gauri Kamat, Mithun Mahambrey, Tanvi Bambolkar and Libereta Fernandes. Myron Mascarenhas, Mecxy Cotta and Jesus Gomes lend their voices to the music, the lyrics to which have been written by Fr Ubald Fernandes, Fr Vasco Rego and Roque Lazarus. Music director of the film Schubet Cotta, has composed the songs. Sushant Tari is its art director and Virendra Hari Gharse its editor. Vikramkumar Amladi has executed the cinematography.
