‘Will try to reduce GST on aids’

Panaji: Minister for social welfare Pandurang Madkaikar assured that he would try his best to bring down the GST for aids and implements for persons with disabilities down to zero. The GST council has proposed to impose taxes within the range of 5 to 18 % on all devices and products including Braille typewriters, hearing aids, and crutches, among other equipment used by persons with disabilities.
