CHANDIGARH: Congress Media Cell national in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala said on Sunday that BJP’s exit from the Centre and Haryana will lead to ‘achhe din’ in the state. “Why doesn’t the BJP compare the rates of MSP of basmati and quality rice sold during Congress rule? And on February 22, 2015, they gave an affidavit in the Supreme Court, and expressed their inability to do it. As of now, there have been 17 incidents of paper leak in the state,” he added. I want to ask why they didn’t think this before waiving off the loan amount worth Rs1.86 thousand crore of the 12 big industrial and corporate houses.

CHANDIGARH: Congress Media Cell national in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala said on Sunday that BJP’s exit from the Centre and Haryana will lead to ‘achhe din’ in the state. Surjewala was addressing a public meeting on Sunday in Kalayat assembly constituency, which is right next to his constituency of Kaithal.Surjewala categorically asked the masses to support him, and he shall ensure to make Kaithal district the power centre of Haryana, after the Congress comes to power in the state. It is an open secret that Surjewala too has been trying to establish himself as the party’s face in the state for the next assembly elections.“Just ahead of general elections, PM Modi — while addressing public meetings in Pathankot and Kurukshetra — had promised 50% profits on the input cost of farming. And on February 22, 2015, they gave an affidavit in the Supreme Court, and expressed their inability to do it. They had claimed that such a move would impact market prices. I want to ask why they didn’t think this before waiving off the loan amount worth Rs1.86 thousand crore of the 12 big industrial and corporate houses. On the other hand, Congress had given a Rs72,000 crore loan waiver to farmers,” he said.Surjewala flayed Haryana chief minister and the BJP for the deteriorating law and order situation and sufferings of the common man, especially farmers and labourers due to excessive direct and indirect taxes. “Why doesn’t the BJP compare the rates of MSP of basmati and quality rice sold during Congress rule? See the condition of farmers. Let them have an open debate on any issue. This government has forced farmers to sell their paddy at throwaway rates,” he said.“So far as employment opportunities are concerned, this party has robbed the educated and unemployed youth as well. As of now, there have been 17 incidents of paper leak in the state,” he added.
